Music plays an important part in our family. Our older son chose cello when he was seven, and has been playing for over seven years. The younger one chose piano when he was five, and has been playing for seven years as well.
We have been taking our children to the Pittsburgh Symphony concerts, Pittsburgh Opera, jazz concerts, and other music events since they were five years old. When they were little, they used to fall asleep at some point of a program, but now we often hear excited comments when they leave a concert. Mission accomplished!
